Job Description
Responsibilities
- Shampoo and condition clients
- Prepare clients for services
- Assist with natural hair, braiding, and loc services
- Blow-dry and detangle hair
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize salon towels, capes, and other laundry using the salon's onsite laundry facilities
- Clean and sanitize the salon, workstations, shampoo area, and tools
- Sweep floors and maintain a clean, organized, and professional salon environment
- Empty trash and replace trash liners as needed
- Restock salon products and supplies
- Greet clients and provide excellent customer service
Requirements
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Basic cornrowing and braiding skills
Preferred
- Cosmetology student, recent graduate, or licensed cosmetologist preferred
- Experience with textured natural hair is a plus
- Having natural hair is a plus
