Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce high-quality multimedia content, including short-form and long-form video, photography, and graphics aligned to district priorities.
  • Lead the full production process, including planning, scripting, filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Capture and tell compelling stories that highlight student experiences, staff work, and district initiatives across the entire district.
  • Provide visual coverage of events, programs, and key initiatives across both high schools and the district.
  • Create and manage content for district social media platforms, websites, and other digital channels.
  • Ensure content reflects district branding, messaging, and engagement goals.
  • Apply platform-specific strategies to maximize reach, accessibility, and audience engagement.
  • Partner with school and district leaders to proactively identify and execute storytelling opportunities.
  • Support Communications Department initiatives by aligning multimedia content with district priorities and campaigns.
  • Balance district-wide consistency with the unique culture and identity of each high school.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Film or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience producing high-quality video and digital content in a communications, media, or marketing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept through final production, including scripting, filming, and editing.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms and digital communications.
  • Advanced proficiency in video production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro) and photography/photo editing software (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including school leaders, staff, and students.
  • Knowledge of digital media trends, audience engagement strategies, and platform-specific best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school district, higher education, or public sector environment is a plus.
