Job Summary
You will own delivering engaging middle school Social Studies and Catholic Religion lessons, lead a homeroom, and collaborate to align curriculum while leveraging technology and communicating with families.
- Own lesson delivery and student engagement across Social Studies and Catholic Religion.
- Lead homeroom for 6th-8th grades and conduct parent conferences.
- Collaborate on standards-aligned curriculum and use technology to enhance learning.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive Social Studies and Catholic Religion lessons to middle school students.
- Implement instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum aligned with Social Studies State Standards and Catholic Catechetical Formation Standards.
- Conduct parent conferences to discuss student progress and development.
- Utilize technology, such as SMART Board and Google Classroom, to enhance learning experiences.
- Lead a homeroom with 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade students.
Requirements
- Experience in small group and differentiated instruction.
- Strong communication skills for parent engagement.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies for middle school Social Studies and Catholic standards.
- Understanding of SEL development and classroom management techniques.
- Background in elementary or early childhood education is advantageous.
Preferred
- Experience with middle school classrooms and high school requirements.
- Knowledge of Project-Based Learning or IEP processes.
