Evaluate CCAN’s existing social media channels, compare them to channels used by other nonprofits, and identify strategies to increase engagement and reach.
Measurably increase engagement (followers and clicks) across platforms.
Monitor content performance and provide regular reporting on engagement, reach, and audience growth.
Track and analyze content performance across channels, measuring our results alongside other nonprofit peers, using data to identify what’s working and where to optimize.
Develop regular content performance reports and surface insights to inform strategy.
Test content formats, messaging angles, and distribution approaches to continuously improve audience engagement.

Requirements

Three to five years of experience creating and managing engaging content across multiple social media channels. Nonprofit experience is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated success building or expanding an audience by at least 10k followers, either for a personal or organizational account.
Proficient storyteller, able to translate policy priorities into clear and inspiring visual and written content.
Ability to consistently produce quality visual content.
Self-motivated and comfortable collaborating with a team.
A valid driver’s license. The social media manager will travel throughout Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia to film or photograph events and activities.
