Job Summary
Own and orchestrate Viridor's external comms across media relations, social channels, and crisis communications to protect reputation and support social licence to operate.
- Media strategy and national/trade press engagement to shape coverage and mitigate reputational risk.
- Corporate storytelling across external channels and leadership profiling to amplify narrative.
- Local PR and community engagement at site level, plus stakeholder relationships with journalists and industry bodies.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead Viridor’s media, social media and stakeholder relations activity to strengthen reputation and support our social licence to operate.
- Manage national and trade media engagement, press handling and reputational risk.
- Own corporate social channels and deliver high-quality content that amplifies our narrative.
- Build strong relationships with journalists, industry bodies and key stakeholders.
- Drive local PR around sites to improve community sentiment.
- Support senior leadership profiling and play a central role in crisis and incident communications.
- Ensure all external communications meet legal, regulatory and brand standards.
