Responsibilities

• This role is responsible for supporting the Director of Media Relations by facilitating World Relief’s earned media presence, supporting external-facing writing projects and conducting relevant research and outreach.
• They help obtain strategic exposure for World Relief and its programs through informing and responding to the media.
• Primary responsibilities include staying attuned to organizational milestones, developing pitches, regularly interacting with members of the press, coordinating interviews and building a steady cadence of media placements.
• The Media Relations Coordinator is expected to remain updated on current events and news as they identify unique opportunities for World Relief within the news cycle.
• Work Location: Remote, preference for proximity to Washington, D.C
• Travel: 5-10%
