Job Summary

Own the end-to-end proposal development and marketing collateral production, coordinating across technical staff and client-facing deliverables to ensure high-quality submissions on tight deadlines.

  • Proposal lifecycle: writing, preparation, and delivery of RFPs, RFQs, and forms, plus related marketing materials.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: partner with architectural teams to translate technical work into compelling client submissions and communications.
  • Quality and deadline discipline: manage resources, maintain attention to detail, and ensure timely, polished outputs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the writing, preparation and delivery of proposals (RFP/RFQ, Various state forms, SF 330s).
  • Assist the team with the management and production of various other client-facing projects including but not limited to writing and design of marketing collateral; award submittals; special events and tradeshow support; internal corporate communications; and general departmental activities.
  • Work in a team environment with the other team members to meet the overall marketing needs of the firm.
  • Work closely with the technical (architectural) staff and communicate with these team members to successfully accomplish job functions.
  • Meet deadlines, manage resources and pay close attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality in their work.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal preparation
  • College degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Architectural / Engineering / Construction Industry preferred
  • Must have strong proposal writing, communication and graphic layout skills
  • Must have working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (most importantly InDesign or equivalent page-layout program), MS PowerPoint and MS Word, Asset Management Programs, Deltek, Social Media sites and Conference / Tradeshow scheduling & support
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work with both technical and non-technical professionals
  • Interest in leadership and ability to develop project management skills
  • Interest in building and nurturing client relationships
  • Graphic communication skills to support a variety of presentation media: presentation drawings, marketing materials, feasibility studies, etc.
  • Skilled in analytical thinking to support the design process

Preferred

  • Detail-oriented, methodical, meticulous, process-oriented, yet open to change and motivated by innovation
  • Great collaborator and communicator – excellent verbal and written skills are important
  • Ambitious self-starter with get-it-done attitude who strives for results and performs well under pressure
