EmPower Family Wellness Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering healthier and more connected families across Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties, Ohio.

Role Description

This is a remote, stipend-based position located in Mahoning Valley, OH. The Marketing & Outreach Assistant will support outreach efforts by assisting with community engagement and promoting programs to grow the center’s impact. We’re looking for an organized, reliable Marketing & Outreach Assistant to keep our online presence consistent and our community informed. You’ll work from existing content systems and bring your own creativity to support our mission-driven messaging across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage 2 posts per week across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (one is template-based)
• Update and distribute the monthly newsletter (template-based)
• Create occasional original content aligned with EmPower’s mission
• Estimated 5-8 hours per month month — Compensation: $250/month stipend

Qualifications

• Basic experience with social media scheduling tools and basic digital communication tools
• Strong written communication skills
• Creative (without the use of AI for written content) organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
• Strong written communication skills
• Experience in social media marketing (college experience counts!) is preferred
• Ability to interact with professionalism and empathy
• Passion for family wellness, community development, and making a positive impact
• Must be US citizen or have work visa
