Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing & Paid Media — 35% - Plan, build, and manage digital advertising campaigns across search and paid social in support of academic program enrollment (ABSN, BSN, DNP, PhD, certificates) - Develop advertising creative and promotional content meeting brand and UW compliance standards - Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and optimization; recommend reallocation based on performance - Build and refine audience segments and targeting strategies for program-specific recruitment - Monitor and report on campaign performance, including cost per inquiry and conversion, and use findings to inform subsequent cycles - Partner with OSAA and Admissions to align campaign timing with recruitment cycles and application deadlines - Support marketing planning for new and revised academic programs - Coordinate with University Marketing & Communications on shared platforms and standards Social Media & Content — 25% - Develop and execute social media strategy across the School's channels, including Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube - Write copy and create original content, including but not limited to static, video, and interactive items, promoting programs, faculty achievements, student success, research, and innovation - Maintain content calendars and publishing schedules, balancing program promotion with audience engagement - Design social and digital creative in the service of owned channels - Monitor community engagement, respond to audience activity, and identify emerging conversations relevant to the School - Draft web stories on faculty, students, research, education, and collaborations - Ensure all digital content meets accessibility standards - Provide program and operations managers with guidance on social media and email best practices Email Marketing and CRM Management — 25% - Own the School's UW-enterprise email marketing program end-to-end as a primary administrator, responsible for building, segmenting, scheduling, testing, and reporting on published content. - (In November 2026, the UW will be migrating from Marketo, which will require this role to participate in template rebuild, list migration, and workflow reconstruction) - Support the Office of Student Services and Advising in the digital recruitment process by building, scheduling, testing, and sending promotional email content in Salesforce Account Engagement - Partner with program units on their email needs, providing setup support, templates, and quality review - Maintain data hygiene, list governance, and segmentation logic in coordination with CRM systems - Support lifecycle-informed planning across recruitment, student engagement, and alumni touchpoints Analytics, Reporting & Market Research — 15% - Establish and maintain regular performance reporting across paid media, social, email, and web - Manage web analytics and report on site performance and user behavior - Define and track KPIs for major campaigns and initiatives - Conduct market research to inform program positioning and messaging, including digital surveys and audience interviews - Provide competitive and market intelligence relevant to nursing education recruitment - Translate performance data into recommendations, not just reports Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in planning and managing digital advertising campaigns, including budget management and performance optimization
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience with email marketing and marketing automation platforms, including Salesforce, and web hosting sites, including WordPress
  • Experience creating, developing, scheduling, and posting social media and web-based content for organizational channels
  • Proficiency with analytics tools, including but not limited to Qualtrics and Hotjar, and demonstrated ability to translate performance data into recommendations
  • Working proficiency in design tools sufficient to produce channel creative (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent)
  • Strong writing skills across marketing, editorial, and digital formats
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns and deadlines with limited supervision

Preferred

  • Preferred Qualifications - Experience in higher education marketing, enrollment marketing, or academic program recruitment - Experience migrating between marketing automation platforms - Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM - Background in healthcare, nursing, or professional education - Familiarity with UW brand guidelines, systems, and institutional culture - Experience with content management systems, particularly WordPress - Demonstrated commitment to equity-centered and inclusive marketing practices
