Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Temporary Marketing Coordinator will support the execution of daily marketing tasks. You will manage localized promotional campaigns, monitor social media channels, create engaging content, and coordinate events. This role requires excellent multitasking skills and a strong understanding of Hawaii's unique local market culture.
  • Content Creation & Distribution: Draft engaging copy and coordinate visual assets for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), email newsletters, and local print advertisements.
  • Campaign Management: Assist in executing, tracking, and reporting the performance of digital and traditional marketing campaigns.
  • Event Coordination: Help plan, set up, and execute local promotional events, community pop-ups, and partnerships across Hawaii.
  • Brand Asset Management: Organize marketing collateral, digital image libraries, and brand merchandise inventory.
  • Administrative Support: Coordinate schedules, maintain marketing calendars, and communicate with local vendors, printers, and partners.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Hawaii's geography, community dynamics, and unique economic landscape.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with social media management platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), and basic design programs (e.g., Canva or Adobe Express).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and grammar.
  • Logistics: Must reside on Maui.
