Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Forecast scope, schedule, and budget of new and recurring projects—engage stakeholders and freelancers, set meetings, and synthesize/circulate information.
  • Provide project management processes for strategic initiatives, partnerships, programs, and events to advance organizational goals and objectives in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Build and maintain effective operational strategies and structures to ensure smooth functioning of Marketing and Communications team.
  • Schedule and project manage freelancers and vendors—from video producers and art directors to copywriters and translators—and oversee payment fulfillment.
  • Ensure Longy engages with BIPOC and gender-diverse vendors, creating materials reflective of Longy’s commitment to equity and social justice.
  • Oversee the work of student Graduate Fellows who assist with Marketing projects throughout the school year.
  • Manage digital and print workflows for ads, social media posts, web updates, admissions viewbook, and concert season materials—working directly on these projects and with contractors and vendors.
  • Publish finished assets to Longy’s website, social media, email channels, advertising venues, media contacts, supported by freelancers and Graduate Fellows. Maintain project archives for future reference and reuse.
  • Track success of marketing campaigns and channels to make data-driven recommendations and adjustments. Pilot and iterate new marketing tactics such as podcast advertising and new social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with departments across Longy including the President’s Office, Academic Affairs, Admissions & Student Services, and Operations to set and execute priorities in alignment with the School’s strategic plan.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in project management and administration, marketing and communications, higher education or the arts preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, copyediting expertise a plus
  • Prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, WordPress, Constant Contact, and social media platforms a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to perform multiple assignments concurrently in a timely manner
