Job Summary

Marymount High School seeks a Marketing and Communications Associate to manage content creation across digital and print, with photography/videography and brand-aligned storytelling.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and format content for weekly parent newsletter, website updates, and social media
  • Assist in drafting school announcements, invitation language, and other school communications
  • Support storytelling by developing compelling stories for the web and print that highlight Marymount’s students, academic programming, co-curriculars, and community impact (this will require attending classes, student events, and more)
  • Capture and edit photos and videos at school events and programs
  • Produce short-form video and visual content for social media and marketing use
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining photo and video assets
  • Portrait photography of all sports teams and travel to at least one competition event per sport per season
  • Design graphics and marketing materials for events, programs, and school initiatives
  • Create flyers, invitations, digital signage, banners, and promotional assets for use across platforms and media
  • Follow established brand guidelines to ensure visual consistency
  • Coordinate placement of print advertisements
  • Support the day-to-day management of Marymount’s social media accounts
  • Create, schedule, and publish daily content across platforms that brings the Marymount experience to life and stay current with social media trends
  • Monitor engagement, create strategies to increase followers, and assist in tracking performance metrics
  • Maintain digital display screens across the campus
  • Update and maintain the school website, including event pages, news articles, and general content updates
  • Upload graphics, manage links, and ensure content accuracy
  • Assist in promoting school events through digital and print communications
  • Work closely with the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications to understand the communication needs across Admissions, Development, Student Life, and Academics
  • Participate in team meetings and project check-ins and manage multiple assignments with attention to detail and deadlines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, photography, digital media, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Experience creating content across email, web, social media, and print
  • Strong photography skills, including experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras
  • Experience with video editing and short-form content creation preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Illustrator), Google Workspace, Office Suites, macOS operating system, and related applications
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (currently using Blackbaud)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrates a collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach to work, and contributes to a positive, energetic, and supportive team culture
  • Experience in an independent school or mission-driven organization preferred
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and respect for Marymount High School’s Catholic-Independent school identity and mission
  • This position requires some evening and weekend work

Preferred

  • Experience with video editing and short-form content creation preferred
  • Familiarity with Catholic-Independent school identity and mission
  • Ability to travel for events
