Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Brand Leadership: Develop, own, and present the annual marketing plan and strategy to senior leadership, inclusive of goals, budget, channel mix, and performance benchmarks aligned to the organizational strategic plan.
  • Brand Management: Manage brand strategy for UWGC, ensuring consistent voice, identity, and positioning across all internal and external touchpoints.
  • Goal Setting and Reporting: Set measurable marketing goals tied to organizational priorities and report on progress to executive leadership.
  • Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify opportunities to advance brand awareness, community engagement, and donor and partner relationships.
  • Digital Marketing and Omnichannel Campaigns: Plan and execute integrated omnichannel campaigns across digital and traditional channels including paid search, social media, email, and web.
  • Website and SEO: Manage and optimize the UWGC website with content updates, SEO strategy, and UX improvements using GA4.
  • Paid Advertising: Lead paid digital advertising including Google Ads and social media campaigns; manage spend and ROI reporting.
  • Email Marketing: Develop and distribute email marketing to external audiences via CRM; troubleshoot HTML issues as needed.
  • Lead Generation and Optimization: Conduct ongoing keyword research, landing page optimization, and lead generation tied to trackable conversions.
  • Content Creation: Leads development and execution of integrated content strategies; produce and edit content across email, web, social, and executive communications.
  • Content Calendar and Optimization: Manage omnichannel content calendar with data-driven messaging and campaign optimization.
  • Leadership and Vendor Management: Manage contractors/agency partners, oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and performance, and own the marketing budget including forecasting and ROI reporting.
  • Operations and Reporting: Manage timelines through Airtable, maintain a metrics dashboard, present campaign results with actionable recommendations, collaborate on assets, and stay current on marketing trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated strategic ownership.
  • Proven track record developing and presenting annual marketing plans and brand strategies to senior audiences.
  • Experience managing direct reports, contractors, or agency partners with accountability for performance outcomes.
  • Experience owning a departmental marketing budget, including spend forecasting and ROI reporting to leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated omnichannel campaigns from strategy through measurement with full ownership.
  • Experience serving as an organizational spokesperson or managing select external media relationships.
  • Proficiency across digital marketing disciplines: SEO, SEM, PPC, email, social, and web content management.
  • Experience with Google Analytics/GA4, Google Ads, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and communication skills across formats and audiences.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Airtable; ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Basic HTML knowledge; ability to troubleshoot email and web rendering issues.
  • Ability to engage credibly with executive stakeholders, media contacts, community partners, and funders.
