Job Description

How will this role impact First Command?

As a part of our marketing team, the Marketing Channel Coordinator will assist the marketing department with its program planning and delivery. The coordinator will collaborate with key players on our marketing team to make sure that each project gets the resources necessary for timely and successful delivery. This position is responsible for project managing all marketing channels from job initiation through the creative process with our strategy and creative teams to final delivery of all items for deployment. This role also prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data around resources as well as results of campaign deliverables and works directly with the channel management team and leaders to adjust future projects based on results. 

What will the employee do in this role?

  • Coordinate across marketing, military affairs, client experience teams and other internal partners for project delivery for First Command’s marketing channels: website, social media, email, Field, and paid media.
  • Responsible for on-time delivery by prioritizing work and assuring resources are readily available.
  • Work with marketing teams to direct day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects.
  • Initiate and run all projects through our project management system.
  • Accountable for communication within the teams ensuring clear and timely directions. 
  • Work with the creative, content and marketing teams to help deliver content that meets client specifications.
  • Work with the strategy teams on project kick offs, status and results
  • Assist marketing team with data/analytics analysis gathering and reporting.
  • Actively identify and suggest process improvement opportunities.

What skills and qualifications do you need?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent work experience

Work Experience

  • 3+ years’ marketing, advertising or graphic design experience desired
  • Experience in the financial services industry desired

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of marketing and creative operations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience/understanding with spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, social platforms and creative workflow applications
  • Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
