Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across our target sectors and geographical areas.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, consultants and key industry contacts.
• Research potential clients, projects and market opportunities
• Work closely with the company director to identify target clients, sectors and areas for future growth.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and industry events, proactively following up enquiries and introductions.
• Identify and pursue suitable frameworks, approved contractor lists and procurement opportunities.
• Maintain records of business development activity and provide regular updates on opportunities, progress and outcomes.
• Develop and implement a practical marketing strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
• Manage the company’s website, social media channels and wider online presence.
• Create engaging content including project case studies, company news, capability statements and presentations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in marketing, business development or a similar client-facing role, ideally within the construction industry
• Strong commercial awareness with a proactive approach to identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging with clients and decision-makers.
• Strong written English with the ability to produce professional and engaging marketing content.
• Good understanding of digital marketing, websites and social media, particularly LinkedIn.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience producing marketing materials, presentations, case studies and company literature.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
• Experience with CRM systems and knowledge of construction procurement would be advantageous.
• Professional, proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
