Job Description
Responsibilities
- Marketing & Communications: Work with the School Business Manager to produce and deliver a marketing plan in line with the school's marketing strategy, with the aim of driving pupil recruitment and enhancing the school's public profile
- Help to maintain and update the school's website, social media accounts, newsletters and other communication channels
- Create compelling and informative written and visual content in line with the school's ethos and values and communications guidelines
- Ensure consistent branding and tone of voice across all platforms
- Use the brand tools provided to design and produce digital and print assets such as social media adverts, flyers, banners, and prospectuses
- Track and report on engagement metrics to inform marketing activity
- Promote open days, seasonal festivals, and other key events
- Alumni Engagement: Build and maintain an alumni contact database
- Deliver regular alumni communications, including newsletters and updates, including opportunities for involvement in mentoring, storytelling, and promotional efforts
- Keep annual records of exiting class 10 alumni, producing a yearbook and inviting them to join the alumni database.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of website, CMS platforms and social media channels
- Ability to create engaging content tailored to different audiences and working within brand guidelines
- Experience working on campaigns or promotional events
- Confident, collaborative and able to take initiative
- Alignment with the ethos and values of Steiner education
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational environment
- Familiarity with events and engagement activities
- Basic design/layout skills (e.g., Canva or similar tools)
Benefits
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks pro rata (inclusive of bank holidays)
- 3 month probationary period
