Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Manager of Analytics, Budget, and Operational Excellence, the Marketing Analytics and Transformation Associate oversees marketing analytics reporting in support of the university’s ongoing marketing and brand-building efforts and supports transformation initiatives across the Administration & Marketing and Communications divisions.
- The Marketing Analytics and Transformation Associate is responsible for measuring brand health and campaign performance and is equipped with strong technical expertise and a solid marketing foundation. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional team partners to synthesize complex data sets and deliver findings and insights to key stakeholders, with a solid ability to leverage data to tell a compelling story.
- Builds a data-driven culture by capturing and analyzing marketing and business data, tracking progress towards goals, and providing evidence-based recommendations to the university’s marketing teams.
- Creates and sustains dynamic dashboards and visualizations to measure overall brand health and discrete campaigns, such as enrollment, to distribute quarterly to key stakeholders including university leadership and board members.
- Blends data from a variety of data sources, such as CRMs, social media channels, email, web and traditional digital marketing channels, gleaning and reporting overall insights. Connects multiple data sources to dashboards, ranging from spreadsheet data to APIs.
- Advises on KPI measurement prior to campaign launch, ensuring back-end setup accurately captures data throughout the duration of campaigns.
- Maximizes efficiency by developing processes for data collection and archiving.
- Serves as the university’s expert on marketing analytics and measurement. Stays up to date on trends and changes in the marketing landscape.
- Maps current-state workflows, captures stakeholder input, and drafts process improvement findings across transformation initiatives.
- Prepares materials for executive and divisional leadership meetings; tracks action items and follows up across the transformation portfolio to ensure implementation discipline.
Requirements
- Typically a bachelor’s degree in business or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of related job experience.
- Advanced skills and experience in Excel required, including data lookups and pivot tables.
- Experience with dashboard software (Tableau, Google Looker Studio, etc.).
- Collaborative work style with the ability to build and maintain cross-departmental partnerships.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and experience using data for decision support; creating complex analytical reports; working with large-scale budgets including operational and capital budgeting.
- Attention to detail and deadline-sensitive.
- Ability to handle confidential information with appropriate confidence and sensitivity.
- Demonstrated experience and success in sensitive communication.
- Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating business trends, industry trends, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics.
Preferred
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Internship or prior work in consulting or business operations is preferred.
