About the Role
AFM Agency is looking for a bilingual HR Assistant / HR Coordinator to support our day-to-day recruiting and HR operations. We're a fast-moving startup, so the ideal person is adaptive and thrives when priorities shift, grounded and dependable in following things through, and brings an entrepreneurial mindset — someone who takes ownership, spots problems before they're assigned, and wants to help build our HR function from the ground up rather than just execute tasks handed to them.
What You'll Do
- Support full-cycle recruiting: posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and following up with candidates.
- Communicate with candidates in both English and Chinese as needed.
- Maintain candidate trackers, interview notes, onboarding documents, and HR records with accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with onboarding, employee coordination, office communication, and core HR operations.
- Support recruiting across departments — office roles, interns, part-time roles, and live talent.
- Take initiative to improve HR workflows, templates, and internal documentation as we scale.
Who You Are
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (required).
- No prior HR experience required — internship or office experience is a plus.
- Strong communicator with a patient, people-first approach.
- Comfortable with Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, and online recruiting platforms.
- Able to work on-site in New York.
Schedule
- Full-time or part-time, on-site.
- Monday to Friday preferred.
