Job Description
Logistics & Operations Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
Kenna Group is a global, premium merchandise-focused agency that builds and operates bespoke product programs for some of the world's leading enterprise brands. From concept to creation, we handle the full lifecycle of merchandise for a diverse portfolio of clients, spanning branded design, custom apparel, kitting, retail experiences, warehousing, and the technology platforms that power these programs end to end.
As we scale, we're looking for a hands-on Logistics & Operations Manager to serve as the operational hub across our fulfillment programs. This role sits directly below the Vice President of Operations and owns the day-to-day coordination of our 3PL partner, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, and order operations across client programs. You'll be the person who makes sure things move, and when they don't, you'll fix it.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Logistics Management
• Own end-to-end logistics coordination across client programs, including inbound freight planning, outbound carrier management, and delivery performance tracking
• Manage relationships with freight carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods domestically and internationally
• Lead customs clearance processes for international shipments, including documentation preparation, EIN coordination, and compliance with import regulations
• Evaluate carrier performance and cost structures, identifying opportunities to optimize freight spend and transit times across the network
• Coordinate LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping strategies, matching shipment profiles to the most appropriate carrier and service level
• Proactively identify and resolve logistics bottlenecks, delays, and exceptions before they impact client programs
3PL Relationship & Daily Warehouse Operations
• Serve as the primary operational contact for our 3PL partner, managing the daily flow of order exceptions, receiving coordination, and warehouse communication across client programs
• Coordinate quarantine releases, receiving confirmations, and dock appointments
• Own the relationship with warehouse floor supervisors and receiving teams, keeping communication tight and response times fast
Inbound Planning & Inventory Management
• Track and manage all inbound POs across product categories including apparel, drinkware, accessories, subscription box components, and B2B orders
• Confirm warehouse receipt of inbound shipments and resolve receiving discrepancies
• Monitor WMS stock alerts, maintain minimum inventory levels, and own resolution of inventory sync issues between systems (Shopify, ShipStation, WMS)
Order Fulfillment & SOPs
• Own order exception management across client programs including address changes, cancellations, expedites, and VIP special orders, acting as the connective layer between client-facing teams and the warehouse
• Build, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures for recurring fulfillment scenarios, ensuring consistency and scalability as client programs grow
• Identify process gaps and recommend automation or workflow improvements to reduce manual touchpoints and increase throughput
Reporting & Operational Visibility
• Maintain operational dashboards and contribute to daily and weekly reporting inputs across client programs
• Support the VP of Operations with data gathering and prep for client-facing reporting and business reviews
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
• 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, 3PL, e-commerce fulfillment, or warehouse operations
• Demonstrated experience managing domestic and international freight, including customs clearance and freight forwarding relationships
• Hands-on experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS); preference given to candidates with experience in Extensiv or ShipStation
• Strong carrier and vendor management skills with a track record of optimizing cost and service levels
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through, comfortable owning multiple moving pieces simultaneously across multiple client programs
• Strong communicator, written and verbal, capable of managing relationships across internal teams, 3PL partners, carriers, and vendors
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where priorities shift quickly
• Working knowledge of import compliance, HTS classification, and trade documentation
• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system, particularly in a fulfillment or inventory context
Preferred
• Experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform
• Background managing enterprise or multi-client programs at a 3PL or fulfillment operation
• Experience building or overhauling freight SOPs and carrier routing guides
• Experience with data and reporting tools such as Tableau, Snowflake, or similar platforms
