Job Summary

Lead AI-focused marketing analytics research while shaping teaching, supervision, and engagement across academic levels, with a bias toward high-impact publications, external funding, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Job Description

  • This is a research and teaching post in Marketing. We wish to appoint a research active colleague on academic pathway 1 who can provide leadership in their particular field.

  • Consistently pursuing high quality research in AI in marketing and management fields.
  • Demonstrating high quality academic publications in the broad area of AI and marketing analytics, reflected in published, forthcoming and planned work.
  • Contributing to the development of research impact and engagement with non-academic audiences.
  • Applying for external research funds from research councils, government, industry and/or other sources.
  • Teaching and marking at all levels, including executive education.
  • Overseeing the successful design, development and enhancement or review of existing and/or new teaching provision in the school.
  • Supervising MSc dissertations and PhD theses in leading capacity.
  • Acting as personal tutor to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
  • Mentoring members of the academic group or School on teaching and/or research.
  • Providing leadership within the School or University through work on teams, groups and committees.
  • Strong background in marketing and solid technical literacy in artificial intelligence - including but not limited to machine learning, generative AI, natural language processing, computer vision, algorithmic decision-making, human–machine interaction, and ethical AI.
  • Demonstrating high quality academic publications in the broad area of AI and marketing analytics, reflected in published, forthcoming and planned work.
  • Applying for external research funds from research councils, government, industry and/or other sources.
  • Consistently pursuing high quality research in AI in marketing and management fields.

  • Salary/Grade: £43,482 - £50,253 (Grade J) or £50,253 - £58,225 (Grade K) or £59,966 - £73,710 (Grade L) per annum, depending on experience.
