Lead, Business Development for tradeshow marketing and communications, owning event planning, competitive intelligence, and budget oversight.

  • Own planning and execution of tradeshow participation and event logistics.
  • Must-have: Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years in BD/marketing (or graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years without a degree).

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute participation in industry tradeshows, conferences, and events.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and manage event schedules, budgets, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with communications organization to develop cohesive tradeshow & conference marketing materials
  • Ensure that marketing materials are effectively presented and distributed during events.
  • Track and analyze leads generated through tradeshows and report on ROI.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of competitor information.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant business development, communications or marketing experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related business development, communications or marketing experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related business development, communications or marketing experience.

Preferred

  • Proven experience in tradeshow organization, competitive intelligence, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
