Helix Publicity is a full-service global publicity agency dedicated to helping Asian artists and entertainment professionals stand out in today’s ever-changing media landscape.

We are seeking a Korean to/from English translator & interpreter to support our publicity team working with our K-pop and/or Korean clients. This position requires someone who is 100% fluent in Korean and has a flexible schedule. Candidates will be tested during the interview process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support current Korean Interpreter Staff:

• Attendance at virtual client meetings, interviews, and media training sessions
• Helping with translation, interpretation, and transcription of interviews, scripts, videos, documents, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be over 18 years of age and must be legally eligible to work in the United States
• Fluency in English and Korean with excellent writing, speaking, comprehension, and communication skills in both languages
• Experience in translation and live interpretation is preferred
• Have a quiet space to work and good WiFi for meetings
• Capable of being discreet! We must ensure the privacy of our clients is maintained and respected

DETAILS

• Might require some unique hours working on EST & KST time zones
• Must be available to attend virtual client interviews, meetings, and media training
• 10-20 hours per week, approximate range, but will most likely be 10 or below to start
• Workload varies, but the schedule is typically very flexible; pay is $17 per hour
• This position is fully remote, with the possibility of attending occasional in-person meetings and/or events. If any travel were to be needed, Helix would cover all necessary expenses
• An ideal candidate also has an interest in publicity work
• Preferred candidate resides in LA or NYC
