Job Summary

Own the editorial design process from concept to print ready, guiding layouts, assets, and production while collaborating with design, editorial, and production teams.

  • Editorial Design Ownership: Create and refine visitor guides, templates, and master pages in InDesign.
  • Production & Asset Coordination: Manage asset intake, proofs, print prep, and file QA across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Senior Designer, editorial, sales, and production to hit deadlines and maintain brand standards.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Design polished, visually engaging editorial layouts for visitor guides while following established brand and client guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Designer to refine layouts, explore creative solutions, and incorporate feedback.
  • Build and maintain templates, style sheets, nested styles, and master pages in Adobe InDesign.
  • Design and format business listings while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Integrate typography, photography, and graphic elements to create cohesive visual storytelling.
  • Assist with the design and production of advertising sales materials, including rate cards, promotional emails, and media kits.
  • Maintain visual consistency across projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Format advertorials and display advertisements according to brand standards.
  • Help coordinate advertiser assets and ensure all files meet production specifications.
  • Track incoming advertising materials and communicate with internal teams regarding missing or incomplete assets.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in editorial, print, or production design (agency experience is a plus!).
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Understanding of layout, typography, and print production fundamentals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to incorporate feedback into your work.
