Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Job Placement Specialist will develop positive employment relationships with local businesses and employers.
- Establish supports that enable Individuals to access employment opportunities and navigate the hiring process.
- Teach skills that lead to successful competitive employment.
- Provides professional representation of both the agency and the job candidate.
- Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position.
- Adhere to proper call in and call off procedures as outlined by agency policy.
- Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable Individuals with disabilities to perform the primary functions.
- Must complete and maintain all necessary training according as outlined in agency policy.
- Demonstrate proper care and use of all agency property and materials.
- Responsible to adhere to all physical facility, health, and safety policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of all Individuals served within their service area.
Requirements
- High school diploma / GED with experience in Job Placement or Sales / Marketing.
- Must be able to travel independently while driving agency or personal vehicle to provide transportation for Individuals served. Must also have a valid driver's license and a good driving record to allow the agency to insure the employee.
- Must be able to communicate in an effective and clear manner, in both written and oral form.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of current computer applications.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred
