Your Role at Baxter
Baxter offers a robust summer internship program based in the Chicoland area that provides meaningful work assignments and projects that immerse students in Baxter’s culture designed to provide practical work experience highlighting what an individual would do in a similar full-time role with the ability to make a business impact. You'll be paired with a mentor, receive support from your manager, and have access to the entire Baxter employee community to ensure your success.
We are seeking a high-energy, motivated individual for a Marketing internship in our Infusion Therapies and Platforms business. This on-the-job experience will offer the ability to work directly with marketing managers, providing students with a range of unique experiences in marketing, communications, and compliance to help shape them into future business leaders.
This internship requires the candidate to be local to the Deerfield, IL office - 1 Baxter Parkway Deerfield, IL 60015
What you'll be doing:
Support preparation for new product launch in the U.S.
Summarize and schedule read-out of pricing study results to determine final launch pricing
Schedule conference planning calls throughout the summer to work cross-functionally on a speaker event showcasing multiple pharmacy products
Interface with agency to create global marketing materials and high-level campaign graphics and messaging
Support teams where needed on initial sales training courses or customer segmentation analysis
Strategize seamless adoption of new products in EMR systems and coordinate expert interviews to inform internal teams
Support go-to-market strategy, launch and deployment
Support an AI driven initiative focused on exploring how AI tools can be applied to streamline documentation, process reviews, and cross functional workflows in areas such as product development, launches, and clinical/market interactions

What you'll bring:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Rising Junior or Senior preferred) in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with project tools is a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn
Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative
Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles
