Job Description
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for developing and managing a defined DFW territory with the primary objective of increasing qualified hospice referrals and admissions.
- Responsibilities include developing relationships with hospital social workers, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, facility administrators, directors of nursing, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- You will identify new referral opportunities, develop new accounts, strengthen existing relationships, conduct educational presentations, maintain consistent follow-up with referral partners, and work closely with our admissions and clinical teams to facilitate timely patient evaluations.
- This is a results-oriented business development position, and performance will be measured using referral activity, new account development, converted admissions, and overall territory growth.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of direct hospice marketing/business development experience
- Proven experience generating hospice referrals and admissions
- Knowledge of the Dallas–Fort Worth healthcare market
- Experience developing relationships with hospital social workers, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, SNFs, ALFs, and/or memory care communities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to independently develop and execute a territory growth plan
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned DFW territory
Preferred
- Existing relationships with DFW hospital social workers, case managers, and discharge planners
- Established relationships with physicians, SNFs, ALFs, memory care communities, and rehabilitation facilities
- A documented history of meeting or exceeding monthly hospice admission goals
- Experience developing new referral accounts from the ground up
- Strong referral relationships in Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Collin, Ellis, Johnson, or surrounding counties
