Job Summary

Own the digital front door and growth strategy, leading SEO, content briefs, and cross-functional collaboration to attract, educate, and convert prospective clients at Atticus across verticals.

  • Own organic discovery and AI-powered growth initiatives across the site.
  • Collaborate with editors and product teams to tailor content and experiences for each vertical audience.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own our digital front door, including the homepage, vertical landing pages, our blog, and lead-magnets.
  • Set the strategy to bring prospective clients to Atticus.com from organic and AI search.
  • Decide what they read, what they trust, and how they move from learning about Atticus to talking with one of our client advocates.
  • Write the briefs that shape our blog content and the requirements that drive our SEO and GEO prominence.
  • Work closely with our editorial team to commission content that ranks and genuinely helps people in need.
  • Make sure we're useful to them the entire time, so that when they're ready, Atticus is the obvious choice.
  • As we expand into new verticals, partner with our vertical GMs and Growth Product team to evolve our core site experience into one that delivers for each of our vertical audiences.

Requirements

  • You’ve spent 6-9 years in digital marketing, with at least 3 in a lead role owning a website P&L or equivalent
  • You’ve delivered demonstrable wins in SEO and content-led growth, ideally at a DTC brand with a long consideration cycle (health, wellness, fintech, education, legal services). If you can point to organic traffic charts that go up and to the right and tell us exactly why, we want to talk.
  • You have strong conversion chops. You've A/B tested landing pages, rebuilt funnels, and have strong opinions about what makes a vertical landing page convert. You can defend those opinions with data.
  • You have fluency in GEO/AEO. Search is changing fast. You're already thinking about AI Overviews, LLM citations, and what discovery looks like in 2027.
  • You are a strong writer. Not because you'll write every article, but because the brief is the artifact that determines whether content wins. Yours need to be excellent.
  • Comfort partnering with lifecycle. This role is not a silo. The best work here happens at the seam between digital and lifecycle, and you should be excited about that.
  • AI-native instincts. You should feel like this job is twice as possible with the AI tooling available today than it was two years ago.

Preferred

  • AI-native instincts.

Benefits

  • Medical and dental insurance with 100% of employee premiums covered
  • 15 vacation days & ~20 paid holidays each year (including two weeks at end-of-year)
  • Free membership to OneMedical
  • $600/year reimbursable stipend for internet service
  • $1,000 reimbursable stipend for education and training outside of work
  • Up to $1,200/year student loan repayment assistance
  • 401(k) and optional HSA/FSA
  • Humble, thoughtful, smart, fun colleagues
  • We anticipate the base salary band for this role will be between $145,000 to $180,000 in addition to equity and benefits. The salary at offer will be determined by a number of factors such as candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.

Atticus helps people in crisis get aid from government and insurance. More than 100,000 Americans (of all backgrounds) turn to us each year, and we get them >$10B in lifetime monetary aid and healthcare coverage. All are at a difficult moment in their lives, when they need a helping hand but bureaucratic hurdles can feel insurmountable. We use modern tech + caring human experts to turn a complex, demeaning, and scary process into a simple, dignified, and ethical one. Our ultimate goal is to reverse the decades-long decline of America’s social safety net.*************We’re hiring a lot, and if that mission excites you we’d love to talk. Things to know:* We’re an odd beast: (a) a high-growth venture-backed tech startup building a massive valuable company, (b) a social-enterprise B Corp on a mission to help people in need, and (c) a licensed law firm with deep ethical obligations to our clients. We hew to a very particular business model to keep those all aligned! We love hiring people torn between public-sector mission and private-sector dynamism.* We’re largely remote but have physical presence in LA, SF, NY, and Phoenix. We don’t care where you live/work, but we appreciate people who like their colleagues, we maintain nice offices for teams that like working in-person, and we drag folks to on-sites/retreats more than most.* We’re growing at a rapid clip (85 in Jan 2024, 150 in Jan 2025, 200+ today) with all the opportunities/change that involves. Some parts of our business operate with maturity and scale, and others act like internal early startups. There are jobs open in each of those sides, and chances to jump back and forth.* We’re open to folks from all backgrounds. The team includes former teachers, musicians, consultants, corporate lawyers, pro athletes, organizers, and journalists... college dropouts and people who won prizes at Harvard. Some of our best people applied cold on LinkedIn, so we take this place seriously! We'd love to hear from you!
