Job Description

Responsibilities

Own Pettable's paid acquisition engine end-to-end; manage a monthly ad budget approaching seven figures during peak season
Hands-on in spend platforms; making real-time budget allocation, creative testing, audience strategy, and conversion optimization decisions
Own top-of-funnel through checkout; partner with product team on funnel performance
Lead paid acquisition across Google, Meta, TikTok, and emerging channels; build presence on additional channels
Manage pacing, seasonal allocation, and tradeoffs between scale and efficiency
Diagnose conversion issues and design/execute tests; own a significant amount of testing; collaborate with engineering to scale tests
Drive creative testing velocity; optimize message × audience × format × platform; build learning loops
Be accountable for measurement and reporting (paid new clients, CAC, conversion metrics); develop dashboards and cadence for weekly decisions; own attribution/incrementality
Evaluate and pilot new acquisition channels based on evidence over enthusiasm
30-, 60-, 90-, and 180-day onboarding milestones focusing on learning, decision-making, ROI improvements, and scalable systems

Requirements

5+ years of experience in performance/growth marketing
Deep experience in Google Ads and Meta
Personally managed significant ad spend (not just overseen)
Proficient in data-driven decision making; ability to diagnose funnel data and conversion signals
Experience setting up and running end-to-end A/B tests (landing pages, funnel steps, checkout)
Managed budgets in the mid-six to seven-figure monthly range
Ability to communicate to non-marketers (to GM, CEO, board)
Bias for action; ownership mindset; comfortable being the day-to-day operator
Experience in a DTC, health & wellness, regulated industries, petcare, or marketplace businesses
Experience with AI-native marketing tools and workflows; able to ship with AI (e.g., landing pages in Claude Code, AI-generated ad creative)

Nice to have

Experience in DTC health & wellness or regulated industries (strongly preferred)
Experience with petcare or marketplace businesses
