Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own Nash's corporate narrative and make sure it holds together across press, analysts, customers, partners, candidates and our own team, working closely with Product Marketing, which owns product positioning.
  • Build and run our media relations program across business, technology and trade press (supply chain, retail, grocery and restaurant, and the growing autonomous delivery beat), with a clear view of which stories we want told, which reporters should tell them, and the order they should land in.
  • Build our analyst relations program from the ground up. Get Nash properly briefed and understood by the firms that shape enterprise buying in logistics and commerce, and make sure autonomic logistics is a category analysts can describe accurately, with Nash as the reference point.
  • Own executive communications. Shape and prepare our CEO and senior leaders as spokespeople across interviews, conference stages, podcasts, bylines and their own channels, so each of them has a recognizable voice and a clear point of view.
  • Own internal communications. Make sure a fast-growing, distributed team understands where the company is going and why, and hears important news from us before they read it anywhere else.
  • Turn customer wins into public proof. Partner with Sales and Customer Success on joint announcements, co-presented talks and case studies, and treat customer trust as the constraint, meaning every figure we use publicly can survive a reporter asking how it was calculated.
  • Own issues and crisis management. Build the playbooks, the escalation paths and the relationships before we need them, and lead from the front when we do.
  • Run our speaking, awards and executive visibility strategy, focusing on the rooms where our buyers actually spend time.
  • Measure what matters: movement in how the market describes us, analyst positioning, share of voice against the competitors that matter, and the influence of all of it on pipeline and hiring.
  • Choose, manage and hold agencies accountable where they add leverage, and build the communications function over time as Nash scales.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in communications, with meaningful in-house leadership at a high-growth B2B technology company, or senior agency experience and a real appetite to move in-house. You should have shipped work you can defend in detail, including the stories you chose, the ones you killed and what moved as a result.
  • Has built or led an analyst relations program for a complex enterprise platform, and understands how analyst positioning actually shapes enterprise deals.
  • Real relationships with, and a track record of placing stories in, business, technology and trade press. Experience with supply chain, retail or commerce trade press is a strong plus.
  • Has prepared C-level executives as spokespeople and built an executive's external voice over time.
  • Active, regular use of Claude (or an equivalent LLM) as a core part of how you research, prepare and get work done, well beyond copy editing.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial judgment. You can hold a narrative in your head, find the story a reporter will want inside a company update, and write copy that sounds like a person wrote it.
  • Commercially minded. You understand the business well enough to know which coverage will help a deal close and which will just look nice in a monthly report.
  • Strong opinions, communicated clearly, updated quickly when the evidence changes.
  • Discretion. You'll hear everything first, and people need to trust you with it.
  • Location: Hybrid remote/in-office, Bay Area preferred. Fully remote considered for the right candidate.

Preferred

  • - Bonus: experience on the analyst side; category-creation experience at an infrastructure, fintech, devtools, logistics or autonomy company; a public writing presence of your own.

Benefits

  • ✅ Early-stage, well-funded startup – directly impact the company and grow your career!
  • ✅ Quarterly broader team on-sites to bond with teammates
  • ✅ Competitive compensation and opportunity for equity
  • ✅ Flexible paid time off
  • ✅ Health, dental, and vision insurance for US employees
