Job Description
Summary:
The Global Product Specification Manager (GPSM) manages factory-direct relationships with Engineering Design Firms, EPCs & key end users for VOC, market & program development purposes. The GPSM harnesses the power of data trend analysis to identify key product gaps (and proactive plans to fill them) in key markets worldwide, while structuring NPI projects to align with the Signet Global Product Roadmap. The GPSM is a strategic leader, relationship – builder, and sales enabler who is equally comfortable in conversation with engineers and sales professionals. The GPSM aligns front-end priorities with Operations and supports the GSS with critical issues that touch EPCs or end users. This role operates within both the ‘tactical’ and ‘execution’ levels of the organization, where cross-functional communication & reputation are critical success factors.
- Specification & Design: Work collaboratively with GF sales teams, channel, & individually when necessary to establish relationships with EPCs & Engineering Design Companies to strengthen the Signet specification knowledge base and access trend data. Identify key partnerships and product gaps in international markets. Take ownership of business development in critical international sales channels & territories.
- Engineered Solutions: Contribute to success of Signet specials (including the skid design roadmap) & VAS through system – level market & opportunity analysis. Facilitate partnerships and manage communication with customers. Collaborate with Product Managers and GF divisions as necessary to promote a smooth and organized development plan & product launch. Collaborate & engage with Industrial & engineering design teams to maximize process efficiency in Specials delivery.
- Product Strategy: Identify NPI opportunities for Engineered Solutions and international markets (all products). Build a funnel of development opportunities and projects approved
- Project Management: Manage key projects and programs (as project manager) as needed. Ensure engineering & development plans align with Signet & GF strategic initiatives.
- Operations Alignment with Sales Expectations: Manage ‘specials’ backorders related to material shortages and keep key stakeholders / customers updated. Lead front-end + Operations engagement projects designed to reduce communication friction and optimize task flow between departments. Coordinate key customer – interest projects that require industrial design updates. Represent the Product Management department as key

- Experience working within structured channel, operations, and/or product management
- Passion for technology, innovation, and delivering superior customer experience
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business, or a related field required
- 6+ years of experience in product management, engineering, industrial design or equivalent
- Demonstrated success manufacturing / industrial engineering, or front-end operations
- Experience working with PLM and ERP systems, knowledge of CRM systems is a plus

Salary Range: 105k - 149k + Bonus
