Curvaceous Behavior Nonprofit Fall 2026 Community Engagement, Marketing & Event Planning Internship

Position Type: Hybrid Internship (Remote & In-Person)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Internship Term: August 9, 2026 – October 25, 2026

Number of Positions Available: 2–3 Interns

About the Internship

Curvaceous Behavior Nonprofit is seeking 2–3 motivated interns to assist with community engagement, event planning, marketing, social media, and program operations. This internship provides hands-on experience working with a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to wellness, entrepreneurship, and community impact.

Interns will support various projects and programs including:

  • Thrive Forward Creative Entrepreneurship Series
  • Self-Care Sundays Wellness Program
  • Community engagement initiatives
  • Youth and community art workshops with nonprofit partners
  • Special events and outreach activities

Internship Responsibilities

  • Assist with event planning and event-day operations
  • Support community outreach and engagement efforts
  • Create and schedule social media content
  • Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Conduct guest check-in at events
  • Capture photos and videos during programming
  • Interview speakers, instructors, and participants
  • Assist with volunteer coordination
  • Support administrative and organizational projects
  • Participate in planning meetings and team collaboration

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be local to Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Have access to a computer and internet connection
  • Be comfortable working remotely and independently
  • Demonstrate professionalism and strong communication skills
  • Be interested in nonprofit work, event planning, marketing, or community engagement
  • Commit to attending a minimum of four (4) assigned classes or events during the internship term

Schedule

  • Flexible remote work schedule during weekdays
  • Interns may set their own weekday working hours
  • Attendance is required for assigned in-person classes and events
  • Internship runs from August 9, 2026 through October 25, 2026

Stipend Information

This is a stipend-based internship.

Interns are paid only when they work an assigned class or event.

  • Stipend Amount: $40 per class/event
  • No hourly compensation is provided
  • Stipends are issued based on participation and completion of assigned event responsibilities

Interview Process Round 1 – Application & Written Interview Questions

Selected applicants will receive interview questions to complete and submit.

Round 2 – Virtual Interview

Qualified applicants will participate in a Zoom interview with Executive Director Geornee Jefferies.

Date: July 25, 2026

Round 3 – Group Interview

Finalists will participate in a collaborative group interview.

Date: July 26, 2026
