What You Will Do
  • This position reports to the Director of Athletic Communications and Broadcasting and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications / Video and Creative Media and is responsible for assisting in SIUE Athletics game day preparations and operations for home athletic events.
  • Duties may include, but are not limited to, video production during home athletic events and video production of special events.
  • May perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Evenings, Weekends, And Some Holidays Are Required.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
  • 2+ years working in live production
  • Proficiency in AJT Livebook and Vizrt Graphics systems
  • Proficiency in tricaster production studio and 3play replay operation
  • Active knowledge of networking and firewalls

About Extra Help Positions
Extra Help job listings typically close three days after the opening date, unless specified in the closing date. Extra Help employees are appointed to fulfill casual or emergent needs within the university. The amount of time for which services are needed is not usually predictable and payment for work performed is on an hourly basis and based on actual hours worked. Workdays and hours may vary according to departmental requirements. Extra Help employees do not receive SIUE benefits, holiday pay or paid sick or vacation leave.
Extra Help employees are required by State Universities Civil Service System rules to take a 30-calendar-day break after working 900 hours. At the end of the 30 days, you may begin another 900-hour employment cycle in a new position if available. Working Extra Help will in no way affect any other employment opportunities with SIUE, including your position on and Civil Service register. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment.
Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver’s License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.

The screening process will encompass a criminal background check and, where applicable, other background checks such as a drug screen, verification of employment and education or licensure/certification, reference checks, and/or checks with relevant government registries.
