Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Executive Media Placement: Build and execute a targeted media relations framework. Pitch, secure, and facilitate CEO interviews, profile pieces, and expert source features in premium business, tech, and industry publications.
  • End-to-End Award Campaigns: Proactively identify relevant local, national, and industry-specific accolades. Fully manage the research, drafting, storytelling, and submission process for executive award applications (e.g., Regional 40 Under 40, Fast Company Innovation Awards, EY Entrepreneur of the Year, etc.).
  • Board Seat Placement: Strategically scout and secure targeted seats on regional or national non-profit boards, industry advisory councils, and civic organizations that align with the CEO’s expertise and our corporate values. Navigate the onboarding and vetting cycles seamlessly.
  • Thought Leadership Copywriting: Ghostwrite, polish, and place high-caliber op-eds, LinkedIn essays, and industry commentaries directly capturing the CEO's distinct voice and professional insight.
  • Speaking Placement: Research and target marquee conference panels, podcast invitations, and keynotes to position the CEO in front of high-value audiences.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years of active public relations or corporate communications experience, with a definitive track record specializing in executive visibility and personal brand building.
  • Media Rolodex: Existing, functional relationships with top-tier business journalists, tech reporters, and editorial panels.
  • Exceptional Writing: Masterful persuasive writing and storytelling capabilities, with the agility to flawlessly adopt and scale an executive's personal voice.
  • Operational Autonomy: Must operate excellently as an independent business entity. You manage your timeline, coordinate directly with the CEO's calendar, and meet critical submission deadlines without internal management oversight.
