Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Public Relations is responsible for leading the development and execution of communication related to the organization’s strategy, along with executive and internal communications initiatives across various stakeholder groups within the workforce.
  • The role will focus on the maturation of internal editorial and events in partnership with UPH Senior Team, Market Presidents and senior leaders across the System in accordance with the organization’s calendar and engagement needs.
  • Additionally, this position will lead the development and execution of public relations, media relations, and crisis and issues management efforts, both reactive and proactive, across the System to strengthen brand reputation, reduce organizational risk and support change management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor' Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field is required
  • 10+ years or progressive leadership experience in a strategic communications, public relations, external affairs or related field preferably with a health system is required
  • 7 years of direct project management coordinating/managing multiple projects simultaneously is required
  • 5 years experience leading multi-faceted, matrix teams is required

Preferred

  • MBA or Masters Degree in Communications, Public Health, Marketing or related field is preferred
