Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of up to two live CISA-hosted events per contract year (e.g., conferences, summits, roundtables) and up to four livestreamed events (e.g., webinars, fireside chats), including developing agendas, coordinating speakers, drafting invitations, and tracking RSVPs.
  • Arrange event space and logistics, draft related communications materials, develop presentations and graphics, and provide staffing support during events.
  • Support development of a cybersecurity and physical security toolkit for SLTT stakeholders, including fact sheets, statistics, short engaging videos, and customizable templates such as posters, articles, and presentations.
  • Assist with research and analysis on SLTT-level cybersecurity volunteer program best practices and SLTT awareness of CISA resources, and help develop an outreach campaign to share effective practices.
  • Support the CISA Resilience Challenge, including engagement activities, identifying SLTT entities with noteworthy cybersecurity practices, drafting social media content, and helping organize the public capstone event.
  • Assist the Program Manager in preparing materials for monthly progress reports and other contract deliverables.
  • Coordinate with CISA stakeholders and SLTT partners to ensure communications products and events reflect accurate, clear, and user-friendly messaging.
  • Support compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements for electronic communications materials and deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, event planning, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Currently holds, or is able to obtain, a DHS Fitness Determination/DHS Suitability.
  • Experience developing communications materials and/or planning and executing events for a federal government client, preferably in a health or homeland security setting.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability/a Public Trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
