Job Description

Ecommerce Quality Assurance Specialist 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ecommerce Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the reliability, performance, and accuracy of our eCommerce platform. This role is responsible for validating front-end page quality, end-to-end order placement workflows, and the seamless flow of order data into our ERP system. The ideal candidate combines strong functional testing skills with a deep understanding of eCommerce user journeys and backend integrations.

As the Ecommerce Quality Assurance Specialist, you will 

  • Validate UI/UX consistency, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility 
  • Ensure product pages, cart, and checkout experiences meet functional and visual standards 
  • Identify layout, content, and performance issues across devices 
  • Test complete customer journeys from product selection through checkout and confirmation 
  • Validate payment processing, shipping calculations, taxes, and promotions 
  • Perform regression testing for releases impacting checkout or cart functionality 
  • Verify accurate transmission of order data from the eCommerce platform into the ERP system 
  • Validate order statuses, inventory updates, pricing, and fulfillment data 
  • Troubleshoot and document data mismatches or integration failures 
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, and test data 
  • Execute manual and/or automated tests for new features and releases 
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and edge cases 
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools 
  • Provide clear reproduction steps and severity assessments 
  • Support root cause analysis and verification of fixes 
  • Participate in release validation and smoke testing 
  • Monitor production systems for order flow or integration issues 
  • Assist in incident triage and resolution
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of QA experience, preferably in eCommerce (Salesforce Commerce Cloud Preferred) or web applications 
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce workflows (product catalog, cart, checkout, payments) 
  • Experience testing order management systems or ERP integrations 
  • Familiarity with APIs, data validation, and backend workflows 
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) 
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills 
  • Basic SQL or data validation experience 
  • Understanding of payment gateways and fraud checks
