Gibson Inc., the iconic guitar brand founded in 1894 and headquartered in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Ecommerce Merchandising Coordinator to support the execution and day-to-day operations of its Direct-to-Consumer ecommerce business.
This role is responsible for hands-on ecommerce merchandising execution, including product setup and maintenance, data entry and cleanup, content updates, promotional execution, and site QA. The Ecommerce Merchandising Coordinator plays a critical role in reducing operational workload and improving efficiency, enabling the Ecommerce Merchandising Manager to focus on strategic merchandising initiatives, platform ownership, and optimization across the ecommerce technology stack.
Essential Functions
- Build, maintain, and update products within Shopify, including product data, variants, pricing, tags, collections, metafields, and availability.
- Perform bulk product updates, catalog maintenance, and data cleanup using Shopify tools and Matrixify (or equivalent).
- Own ongoing product data entry, cleanup, and refinement to ensure accuracy and scalability.
- Support New Product Introductions (NPIs) through product builds, collection setup, merchandising logic, QA, and launch readiness.
- Execute daily and weekly site merchandising updates including homepage, collections, and product sorting.
- Maintain and update product content including copy, imagery, media assets, and merchandising rules.
- Perform routine site QA related to pricing, promotions, content, and display accuracy.
- Support promotional and campaign execution including discount setup and validation.
- Monitor product availability and flag inventory or merchandising risks.
- Maintain and update non‑product site content, including blogs, landing pages, informational pages, forms, navigation, banners, and other site modules to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand and campaign needs.
- Partner with the Ecommerce Merchandising Manager to support workflow improvements and basic automations.
- Pull and organize ecommerce performance data for reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand, CX, Operations, Customer Support, and Technology teams.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Support seasonal campaigns, sales events, and special projects.
- Assist with ecommerce operational and site optimization initiatives.
- Support global DTC alignment efforts as directed.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and comfort managing large product catalogs.
- Hands-on ecommerce merchandising execution experience.
- Working knowledge of Shopify product and collection management.
- Comfort with product data entry, cleanup, and bulk updates.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Process-oriented mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Experience with Shopify Plus or large catalogs.
- Hands-on experience using Matrixify or similar bulk tools.
- Familiarity with Shopify metafields, tagging strategies, and collections.
- Experience supporting ecommerce promotions and campaigns.
- Exposure to workflow automation or process documentation.
- Interest in musical instruments or lifestyle brands.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Digital Commerce, or related field, or equivalent experience. 1–3 years of experience in ecommerce operations, digital merchandising, or content management.
Essential Knowledge
- Understanding of ecommerce merchandising and digital consumer behavior.
- Familiarity with ecommerce KPIs such as conversion rate, revenue, and sell-through.
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Awareness of ecommerce QA and promotional best practices.
