Drill Station-Elbows (weekend shift)

RESPONSIBILITIES • Drilling Operations: Safely operate drilling machinery to produce precise holes in elbows according to engineering specifications and production schedules. • Setup & Alignment: Prepare and align workpieces, drill bits, and fixtures to ensure accuracy and prevent material defects. • Quality Control: Inspect drilled components for correct dimensions, alignment, and surface quality; report defects or deviations immediately. • Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, drilling parameters, and inspection records. • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on drilling machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments; report major issues to maintenance personnel. • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area at all times. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, quality control, and production supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of production goals. QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or GED • Previous experience in a machining, drilling, or fabrication environment preferred • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or drilling instructions • Knowledge of drill press operation and basic mechanical troubleshooting • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in standing positions for extended periods • Basic computer skills for logging production and quality records PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS • Frequent standing, bending, and lifting; manual handling of elbows and materials • Exposure to industrial noise, dust, and temperature variations typical of fabrication facilities • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED • Local travel within facility or plant areas may be required; overnight travel not expected The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
