Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of donor communications strategies aligned with revenue, retention, and engagement goals.
  • Support ongoing planning for donor communications, including goals, timelines, budgets, and results tracking.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional internal teams, including Marketing, Donor Relations, and Programming, to ensure donor communications are aligned, accurate, and well-coordinated.
  • Surface trends, insights, and recommendations to the Director, Communications.
  • Manage mass donor communications across channels, including stewardship updates, direct appeals, annual giving statements, and surveys.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging accuracy across all donor communications.
  • Own end-to-end project management for donor communication initiatives, including master timelines, content development, creative reviews, approvals, and delivery.
  • Write, edit, proofread, and provide quality assurance for donor-facing content as needed.
  • Translate performance data, testing results, and donor insights into recommendations to improve retention and response.
  • Prepare and distribute project summaries, outcomes, and return-on-investment reporting.

Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • You have three or more years of experience in fundraising communications, donor marketing, or nonprofit communications.
  • You have demonstrated excellence in written communication.
  • You have a strong understanding of donor motivations.
  • You have campaign development experience.
  • You have strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
  • You have cross-functional collaboration ability.
  • You have technical proficiency and adaptability.
