Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As a Communications and Social Media Intern, you will collaborate with a creative team to develop content that informs and inspires, helping create strategic, engaging communications for Disney Programs participants.
  • You will create a wide range of communications materials, including newsletters, emails, blog articles, and video content for both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and proofreading skills are essential.
  • You will also help develop content for our social media channels.
  • From brainstorming and pitching ideas to bringing them to life through filming, photography, editing, and publishing, you will gain hands-on experience in every stage of the content development process.
  • In addition to writing and content creation, you will assist with administrative responsibilities and support participant events, arrivals, and other program-related initiatives.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Junior or Senior preferred.
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Video Production, English, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Current OR previous participation in the Disney College Program.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills, with demonstrated experience in both short-form and long-form writing.
  • A zeal for content creation and social media and a deep understanding of digital storytelling.

Preferred

  • Experience using DSLR/Mirrorless photo and video equipment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Previous experience doing similar work for a college/university organization, internship, job, or club.
