Job Summary

Own the team’s social content engine, coordinating across departments to plan tentpole events, and drive consistent, on-brand storytelling across owned platforms with analytics-driven optimization.

  • Cross-functional content leadership: align Sales, Marketing, Community Relations and Events to staff and cover initiatives on social channels.
  • Content mix ownership: manage the editorial, photography, video and audio representation across platforms and channels.
  • Performance feedback loop: partner with Analytics to shape future plans and measure impact on team and league KPIs.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the team’s social media efforts, which include but are not limited to, the management of staff and the development and execution of an overall content roadmap across the team’s robust social media ecosystem.
  • Work with Sr. Director and other assigned staff on the development of department-wide content plan, as well as plans to support and activate team and league tentpole and special events (i.e. Draft, Schedule Release, Training Camp, etc.)
  • Serve as a leader and critical voice in the team’s cross-department content planning, working with internal groups such as Sales & Marketing, Community Relations, Pro Shop, Stadium Events, as well as key stakeholders within the Content team, to ensure events and initiatives are staffed, covered and receive appropriate representation on team’s platforms.
  • Collaborate with key members of the Content team to help ensure appropriate and timely representation of various content types - such as editorial, photography, video and audio - across the team’s social and digital platforms.
  • Contribute to the development and management of the team’s web site and Official Mobile App, ensuring that the team’s Owned & Operated platforms remain current, relevant and help to drive key business objectives.
  • Help ensure that staff stays abreast of current trends across the sports industry.
  • Foster and contribute to an environment that drives new and innovative content.
  • Partner with our Analytics team in an on-going manner to inform current and future content planning, helping to ensure positive on-going metrics and trends – for both team and league KPIs and rankings.
  • Collaborate with our Corporate Sales & Service team, and key stakeholders within the Content team, to ensure that sponsored social media and content offerings achieve established goals and drive revenue.
  • Partner with Executive Producer, Video Production, in an on-going fashion to help ensure relevancy and appropriate platform deployment for video content.
