Responsibilities

The Director, Enterprise Marketing Production & Planning, is a key leader within the Donor Engagement team and is responsible for overseeing all production operations, event coordination, and project planning. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of high-quality marketing materials and the efficient allocation of resources across campaigns.

The Director will lead efforts in process optimization, cost management, and strategic production planning, working closely with cross-functional teams to advance the organization's mission to maintain a sustainable blood supply through effective donor engagement and recruitment.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in production management, with a proven track record in budget optimization, vendor management, and driving operational efficiencies. They will play a strategic role in leading marketing initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of donor-focused projects.

  • Lead and manage the production of marketing and engagement materials, including but not limited to print, promotional merchandise, and digital content, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with NYBCe's brand and mission.
  • Spearhead competitive bidding processes with external vendors for print and promotional materials, continuously seeking cost-saving opportunities and ensuring procurement strategies deliver maximum value. Set annual savings targets and quarterly reviews for budget performance.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of major blood and platelet donor events, photo/video shoots, and campaign-related production activities. Ensure the smooth coordination of resources, timelines, and team collaboration to deliver impactful, high-quality events and campaigns on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary production liaison between the Donor Engagement, Donor Recruitment, and Corporate Communications teams, ensuring alignment and effective execution of marketing strategies that support donor engagement and retention goals.
  • Drive the optimization of workflows across the Donor Engagement team, constantly seeking and implementing tools to streamline project management and increase cross-departmental tracking. Lead process improvements and identify opportunities for efficiency gains to support organizational goals.
  • Manage the production budget for the Donor Engagement department, working to achieve a reduction in procurement costs by the end of the fiscal year. Maintain visibility into key expenses, ensure all projects stay within budget, and regularly report on financial performance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in production management, marketing operations, or a related role, with demonstrated success in cost management and process improvement.

Travel:

  • Up to 10% based on production needs.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of a variety of software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).

Skills:

  • Cultural competency and the ability to communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with both individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle a variety of complex issues and situations. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy in dealing with a variety of staff up to and including executive leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail in all documentation and work processes.

  • The ability to create analysis on a variety of facilities process information and identify, trends, patterns, and deficiencies and follow-ups where needed.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10% based on production needs.

Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the requirements above that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $175,000.00 p/yr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
