Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage editorial calendar
  • Establish content standards for voice, tone, accuracy, accessibility, rights, style, metadata, review, and reuse
  • Lead topic selection for recurring short-form content, podcast pilots, and exhibit-linked stories
  • Work cross departmentally to maximize use and value add of digital content
  • Ensure content is accurate, sourced, inclusive, accessible, and editorially responsible
  • Track and report performance indicators
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Five years of applicable experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading content strategy, editorial planning, digital storytelling, media production, audience engagement, or a closely related function
  • Ability to translate complex or scholarly material into clear, engaging public storytelling
  • Comfort working across video, audio, written, web, social, email, and/or digital content formats
  • Ability to bring multiple contributors together under common goal and bring projects to completion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to accuracy, accessibility, inclusion, and responsible storytelling
  • Wrist & Visual Stamina – Ability to type and focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods of time
  • Physical Movement – Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching In order to reach & pick up items, standing for long periods of time
