Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that advances organizational goals and increases community awareness of Kids first.
  • Manage and maintain Kids first's social media platforms, including content planning, development, scheduling, monitoring, and performance reporting.
  • Oversee content creation and updates for the organization's website, ensuring information remains current, accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Manage the website content management system (CMS), including updates to program information, clinic announcements, news stories, donor recognition, and organizational resources.
  • Develop compelling stories and content that highlight patient impact, organizational achievements, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate media relations activities and assist with public relations opportunities.
  • Ensure all communications reflect Kids first's mission, vision, values, and brand standards.
  • Lead the development, writing, design coordination, and distribution of quarterly newsletters for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee creation of the organization's annual report, including gathering impact data, writing content, coordinating design, and managing production timelines.
  • Develop organizational presentations, fact sheets, brochures, donor materials, and other communications collateral.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Five to 10 years of experience in communications, marketing, fundraising, development, public relations, or nonprofit leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing fundraising campaigns, donor relations and organizational communications.
  • Experience supervising staff and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in health care, nonprofit, education, public health, or community-based organizations.
  • Experience managing fundraising events and donor cultivation programs.
  • Familiarity with Colorado philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.
  • Personal vehicle
  • Extensive knowledge of communications, public relations, marketing, fundraising, and nonprofit development.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
