Job Summary

The role owns creating and publishing engaging digital content, growing the Merlin Centre’s online presence, coordinating fundraising campaigns, and analyzing performance to improve donor engagement across social media, email, website and campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule and publish engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Develop content for email marketing campaigns, newsletters and supporter communications.
  • Create digital assets including graphics, photography, video content and case studies using platforms such as Canva, capcut and other digital tools.
  • Gather and share impact stories that demonstrate the difference the Merlin Centre makes to individuals and families across Cornwall.
  • Monitor digital performance and provide regular reports on engagement, reach and audience growth.
  • Support paid digital campaigns designed to increase awareness, fundraising income and supporter acquisition.
  • Manage and update website content, ensuring information is accurate, engaging and accessible.
  • Plan and deliver digital campaigns designed to attract new supporters, donors, event participants and email subscribers.
  • Grow our digital audience through paid and organic marketing activity.
  • Support lead generation activity across fundraising, venue hire, training and commercial income streams.

Requirements

  • Experience within fundraising, social media management, and/or marketing.
  • Experience creating and managing social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, marketing campaigns or community engagement initiatives.
  • Experience building positive relationships with supporters, customers or stakeholders.
  • Strong digital marketing skills, including social media, content creation and email marketing (Graphic design, photography or video editing skills included).
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences.
  • Understanding of supporter engagement, customer service or relationship management principles.
  • Experience using platforms such as Microsoft Products, Canva, WordPress, email marketing and social media scheduling platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a charity, not-for-profit or healthcare environment.
  • Experience with paid digital advertising.
  • Confidence using CRM systems
  • Experience using fundraising platforms and event registration systems.
  • Experience managing challenge events or community fundraising activities.
  • Understanding of fundraising regulations and best practice.
