Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support overall digital strategy development and content creation.
  • Pitch social media ideas that align with Commission mission and priorities.
  • Draft social media captions that are grammatically sound, free from error, and in the voice of the Commission.
  • Create and edit social media graphics and videos.
  • Create and update boston.gov webpages, as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Communications Office, Commission colleagues, and Boston community members.
  • Review analytics and landscape to identify areas of improvement and growth.

Requirements

  • Ability to represent the Commission in a kind and respectful manner.
  • Experience developing engaging and accessible social media content on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Experience working with design products like Canva and the Adobe Suite.
  • Passion for health equity and addressing systemic inequities.
  • Ability to take initiative, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop materials within brand guidelines and voice.
