Job Summary

Support development and communications for YCC, coordinating fundraising, branding, and trauma-informed community outreach while producing and diffusing timely content across digital and print channels.

  • Own content calendar and maintain website and social platforms to reflect mission and services.
  • Support media relations, press materials, and community engagement to raise awareness and funds.
  • Collaborate on collateral and events, tracking outcomes with basic analytics to improve reach and impact.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Development Director on fundraising and development initiatives.
  • Lead marketing and branding efforts, including a media engagement strategy.
  • Develop awareness, education, outreach, and fundraising programs for the organization.
  • Produce digital and print collateral such as newsletters, annual reports, flyers, and brochures.
  • Create and maintain an annual content calendar for all agency communication platforms.
  • Maintain content for the YCC website, calendars, social media, and print media reflecting mission and services in a trauma-informed manner.
  • Contribute to strategic communications and media relations, including writing press releases and maintaining a digital news archive.
  • Produce graphic design for communication pieces, events, and projects.
  • Manage YCC social media accounts, respond to inquiries, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Plan and support special events and promote YCC events, trainings, and volunteer activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in either public relations, marketing, community outreach, or nonprofit industry.
  • Combination of education and experience

Preferred

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care preferred.
  • Bilingual/Spanish-speaking a plus.
  • Canva experience preferred.
