Job Summary
Own Mojo developer relations, driving technical content, benchmarks, and community engagement across GitHub, Discord, conferences, and social channels, while collaborating closely with the Mojo and compiler teams to shape the language roadmap.
- Lead content creation and benchmarking aligned with Mojo's language features and performance goals
- Foster an inclusive developer community and provide hands-on guidance to adopters
- Coordinate tutorials, videos, and materials that demonstrate fast, safe systems code including GPU paths
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Write technical educational content that explain Mojo's language features, performance characteristics, and where it fits alongside Python, C++, Rust, and CUDA.
- Act as the voice of the developer community internally, feeding language and tooling feedback back to the Mojo engineering team, shaping the language's roadmap.
- Establish, run and publish benchmarks comparing Mojo to other systems programming languages.
- Engage with the community across GitHub, Discord, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn by facilitating discussions, answering questions, and providing support.
- Represent Modular at conferences, summits, and industry events through presentations, panel discussions, and networking with industry professionals.
- Provide support and respond to questions from developers evaluating Mojo, including engineers at some of the world's largest corporations.
- Collaborate with the Mojo language and compiler teams to create tutorials, videos, and examples that show developers how to write fast, safe systems code, including on GPUs.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for ML engineers and systems programmers learning Mojo.
- Contribute to Modular's broader developer relations, product, and marketing strategies.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience creating technical content for developer audiences. Send us a portfolio: blog posts, tutorials, videos, docs, or courses.
- Strong Python skills, plus real systems programming experience in Mojo, C++, Rust, or similar. You should be comfortable talking about memory management, SIMD, and parallelism, not just importing libraries that handle it for you.
- You understand where Mojo sits relative to Python, C++, Rust, and CUDA, and can speak credibly to developers coming from any of them about the trade-offs.
- You learn new tools fast and produce accurate content quickly. A language feature ships Tuesday, your tutorial goes out Thursday.
- You can record, edit, and publish a technical video without a production team. Clear audio, good pacing, technically correct, not necessarily polished.
- You write well. You explain complex ideas without losing precision, and you cut the filler.
- A growth and leadership mindset, with a collaborative attitude that seeks to learn more from our customers, team members, and the broader market.
Preferred
- Experience programming GPUs using Mojo, CUDA or ROCm.
- Familiarity with open source software development practices and communities
- Familiarity with the MAX Platform's inference and serving capabilities.
- Experience producing high-quality videos covering technical topics.
