Job Description
Responsibilities
- Promote the schools to potential families and students by hosting events such as Open Houses.
- Actively market school events and enrollment and assist with new parent tours and follow up with families.
- Disseminate information to the community via publications, website and social media.
- Maintain a positive working partnership with parent, community and school groups.
- Assist with transition activities for students moving from elementary to middle and middle to high school.
- Assist with events designed for new students and families to create a sense of belonging.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Evidence of candidate’s involvement in a school community setting.
- Evidence of the candidate’s ability to provide quality leadership skills demonstrated through:
- Ability to build relationships with students, staff and community members;
- Excellent writing and communication skills;
- Strong public relations/customer service skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively with other Community School Organizers and district personnel;
- Skill in maintaining productive, positive interpersonal relationships;
- Strong technology skills and ability to participate in training as necessary;
- Ability to maintain accurate student information files and data bases.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
