About The Role
Ignite Visibility is seeking a smart, ambitious, and deeply hands-on Controller to lead the company’s accounting and financial operations across a complex multi-entity corporate structure.
Reporting directly to our EVP of Finance, this is a high-visibility leadership position for a senior accounting professional who balances strategic financial and accounting oversight with a strong willingness to roll up their sleeves and manage day-to-day details.
The ideal candidate brings extensive senior Controller experience, ideally having operated at scale in organizations up to $150M+ in revenue, combined with deep expertise in creative agencies, digital marketing, MarTech, or project-based professional services. You will partner directly with executive finance leadership (including close interaction with our PE team) to ensure financial accuracy, strong internal controls, timely multi-entity reporting, effective forecasting, and scalable financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations

• Lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations across multiple entities with a highly hands-on approach.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, payroll, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Own and drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure rapid, accurate delivery.
• Maintain accurate financial records and charts of accounts within NetSuite.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and scale accounting processes to support growth.
• Lead the annual financial audit process through collaboration with external audit firm.
  

Multi-Entity Accounting & Reporting

• Manage accounting operations across a complex multi-entity corporate structure, including intercompany transactions, allocations, reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Prepare accurate entity-level reporting and consolidated financial statements.
• Deliver monthly financial reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, EBITDA) with actionable insights for executive leadership.
• Partner with FP&A and executive leadership to analyze actual results against budgets and forecasts.
  

Agency & Professional Services Finance

• Apply a deep understanding of agency financial dynamics: revenue recognition, client profitability, utilization, project economics, and resource-related costs.
• Evaluate department and account-level margins, connecting staffing and operational execution directly to profitability and EBITDA.
  

Payroll, HR Systems & Compliance

• Oversee accounting-related payroll processes and partner closely with HR/People Operations, utilizing BambooHR and integrated payroll tools.
• Coordinate tax filings and compliance requirements with external accounting firm partners.
• Maintain strict internal controls and proactively mitigate financial and operational risk.
  

Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous learning.
• Partner cross-functionally across Finance, Operations, Client Services, and executive leadership.
• Work closely with executive leadership and private equity stakeholder to align accounting operations with overarching corporate growth goals.
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Senior Experience: 8-10 years of progressive accounting leadership, with proven experience operating successfully at the Controller level (experience in $150M+ environments preferred).
• Hands-On Mindset: A proactive, energetic, and ambitious professional who thrives on getting into the operational details while managing high-level accounting strategy.
• Agency / Professional Services Background: Deep experience within a creative agency, digital marketing agency, MarTech, or consulting firm is required.
• Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with NetSuite (Required), QuickBooks Online (Preferred) and BambooHR (Strongly Preferred).
• Multi-Entity Consolidations: Proven expertise in multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and complex financial consolidations.
• Financial Mastery: Strong expertise in GAAP, GAAP-compliant revenue recognition, EBITDA analysis, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Location & Hours: Must be based in the Eastern Time Zone / East Coast (EST) or comfortable operating strictly on EST hours.
• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
